Kids Art Programs Starting in September 2008 Materials are included with all kids classes.
Just Drawing (ages 6-14) This class is designed for the beginner who has always wanted to lean to draw.  This class covers the fundamentals of drawing: contour line, negative space, composition, sighting, perspective, shading and texture.   Students explore different drawing materials, techniques, and methods. Thursdays, September 4 – October 23 (2008) (8 weeks)  5:00pm - 6:30pm    $121.80 Big Craft Attack (Ages 5 – 13) This program will run four times throughout the year.  Each session will have different projects so kids can take the program continuously throughout the year without repeating projects. A variety of “crafty” projects, both short and long will be created in each program. An artistic bent will be placed on the projects but this program give kids a chance to explore other creative outlets not usually explored in the regular art programs. Tuesdays, September 2 – October 21 (2008) (8 weeks) 5:00pm - 6:30pm    $121.80 Cartoon & Manga Madness (Ages 8 -14) Want to learn to draw your own comics, cartoons & Japanese style comics? Kids and teens will learn the primary aspects of cartoon character development such as facial expressions, figures in motion, and special effects. Step- by- step lessons will help students develop their skills in characters that they will compose into a 2’x3’ painting to hang on their wall. Saturdays, September 13 – November 29 (2009) (12 weeks) 9:00am – 10:30am    $172.20 (No Class October 11 – Thanksgiving weekend) Too Cool Collage! (Ages 6 – 14) Collage, paint, glue, and a variety of rather unexpected materials will be used to inspire creativity in our emerging young artists. Kids will be encouraged to experiment with variety of medium and construction techniques. Let your imagination go wild. Wednesdays, September 3 – October 22 (2008) (8 weeks) 5:00pm - 6:30pm    $121.80
