Kids Art Programs Starting in October 2008 Materials & GST are included with all kids classes.
Just Painting  (Ages 6 - 14) This class introduces the fundamentals of painting, from stretching a canvas to mixing colours and applying paint.  Various techniques will be explored.  We will also be experimenting with watercolour paint, acrylic paint, tempra paint and water based oil paint  Students will paint from photo references and from their imagination. Thursdays, October 30 – December 18 (2008) (8 weeks)  5:00pm - 6:30pm    $121.80 Big Craft Attack (Ages 5 – 13) This program will run four times throughout the year.  Each session will have different projects so kids can take the program continuously throughout the year without repeating projects. A variety of “crafty” projects, both short and long will be created in each program. An artistic bent will be placed on the projects but this program give kids a chance to explore other creative outlets not usually explored in the regular art programs. Wednesdays, October 9- December 17 (2008) (8 weeks) 5:00pm - 6:30pm    $121.80 Just Sculpting  (Ages 5- 14) Using papier mache as our main sculpting medium, students will work on projects to develop their understanding of three dimensional visualization. Using armatures, wire, paper other recyclable materials, students will translate their ideas drawings into 3D works of art. Other sculpting mediums will also be utilized.  Painting techniques will also be explored. Tuesdays, October 28 – December 16 (2008) (8 weeks)  5:00pm - 6:30pm    $121.80
