This Artist in the Classroom Program affords students a unique opportunity to benefit from the
breadth of artistic and creative knowledge of an artist living in or near their community.
Interactive discussions, question and answer periods, and hands on projects
round out the students creative experience.

About the Artist
Bonnie McQuillan AOCA
Bonnie is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art, (Toronto, Canada). While at the college she spent
a year studying renaissance art in Florence, Italy as a part of an off-campus study program. She has
participated in many exhibitions and shows including; The Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition (Toronto
City Hall), The Cabbage Town Festival (Toronto), The Beaches Art in the Park, The Signatures
Show (Ottawa Congress Center). Bonnies personal interest in gardening led to an intensive study of
plants and flowers which has been the focus of her latest series of paintings. She says colour, line and
balance are the key elements at the heart of her paintings but many of her clients say the foremost
component of her bold flower paintings is FUN.
